Hi, folks. I am not a diabetic, or much of a seasoned cook, for that matter. Your organizations tasty print-outs are making me think-Maybe I can cook this-or how about that one! These will all make an exquisite cook book gift for family, too. Thanks, P.V.I. And everybody PLEASE drive safely.

If you soak dry beans yourself, you rinse the liquid off that they are soaked in. Canned beans are rinsed because they are canned in the water in which they were soaked. That water is loaded with "indigestible carbohydrates"...which means more gas....so you rinse it off.

I just made the boston butt in the crockpot which was delicious. My husband puts bbq sauce on it and I just serve it over egg noodles with some of the leftover liquid with an added seasoning such as Kitchen Bouquet. Meat is very tender.

It IS mostly because of the high salt in the liquid(If you add your own you can control, much better, the salt). There are also preservatives in the liquid.

When recipes call for canned beans of any sort, they always say - rinse and drain - I always assumed it was because of the salt; but further down in the recipe they add salt anyways!! Doesn't make any sense..I.G.

Also, you should be able to "highlight" what you want to print, and then select "selection" when you get into the "print screen." Hope that helps! Happy 2010 to everyone!

I really enjoy things just the way they are. And, it looks as though some of the readers have solved the problem and we can have it both ways. Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless us All.

If you were able to scroll down to see all recipes, when it comes to printing them, you will get all the recipes printed instead of only your choice. It is better to keep it this way. There are a lot of recipes I don't want and would find it a waste. If there was a way to print only what you want, I would like to learn how if the format was changed. JO

I agree having to click next is very inconvenient and would be much easier to scroll down.

I wish the format allowed me to scroll down to each section of recipes instead of having to click next and then having to click read recipes. Takes way too much time!!

whenever i print off a recipe, i click "print preview" first to determine if the next page or two are necessary; then when i print, i click "print pages--" and enter "1" or "1-2" in the box. that way, i dont have to print off "junk pages"

I print the recipes on a 4x6 card by printing only pages 1 and 2. I turn the card over to finish the recipe. The recipe is ready for my file and I don't have pages and pages.
