To cmathys2006: Get thee to a Registered Dietitian and fast! The American Diabetes Association (per Standard of Medical Care- 2009) recommends at least 130 g carbohydrates per day, but your RD should provide you with an individual meal plan based upon your specific needs and help you to put these recommendations into practice. 11/13/2009 04:10:16 PM Report AbuseSo far, all the desserts that I have seen have too many carbs for me. My Dr. says 30 carbs a day. That leaves almost nothing to snack on. I hate this!!!!
