why didn't you use low-sodium beef broth? WHO writes these recipes anyway? A 5yr kid could do a better job! You all should be ashamed. Question: are ANY OF YOU Diabetic? Maybe then you'd understand and not be so frivolous with your so-called recipes.

1/4 cupreduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cupsliced green onions
3 tablespoonsdry sherry or apple, orange or pineapple juice
1 tablespoonsugar
1 tablespoongrated fresh ginger
4 clovesgarlic, minced
Nonstick spray coating

1. Trim fat from beef. Place beef in a plastic bag set in a shallow dish. For marinade, in a small bowl stir together beef broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, green onions, sherry or juice, sugar, ginger, and garlic. Pour over beef. Close bag. Marinate in refrigerator for 4 to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.

2. Drain beef, discarding the marinade. Spray the unheated rack of a broiler pan with nonstick coating. Place beef on the prepared rack. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat to desired doneness, turning once. Allow 12 to 14 minutes for medium. (Or, grill the beef on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals to desired doneness, turning once. Allow 12 to 14 minutes for medium.) To serve, thinly slice beef across the grain. Makes 6 servings.

I kinda have the idea that you are absolutly on a veggie diet, but realize flank steak is a very lean (lowfat content)meat, by the way the taste of flank steak is how you/myself will prepare the dish

Here we go again....half a kilo of meat serving 6, this is a joke surely. Or is it a starter in a concentration camp, No? ok. Can I have Yorkshire Pudding with that as those 2 bits of pineapple and whatever that green stuff is on your plate wouldn't last more than 2 mouthfulls. It looks like I have given this recipe 1 star but I was trying to split the star in half, but it won't let me.
