  • 1 pound Rome, Braeburn, Golden Delicious, and/or Jonathan apples (3 medium), quartered, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/3 cup tub-style light cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ounces white cheddar cheese, shredded (1/2 cup)
  • 2 oval multigrain wraps
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or slivered almonds, toasted
  • Nonstick cooking spray

  1. In a large skillet, combine apple slices, the water, and allspice. Cook, covered, over medium heat about 6 minutes or just until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Uncover; cook about 1 minute more or until liquid is evaporated. Spread cream cheese over wraps, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Top one half of each wrap with apple mixture. Sprinkle with white cheddar cheese and walnuts. Fold in half. Lightly coat the tops of the wraps with nonstick spray.
  2. Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add wraps to the skillet, coated sides down. Coat tops of wraps with nonstick spray. Cook for 6 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once to brown both sides evenly.
  3. Cut into wedges to serve. Makes 4 (1/2 wrap) servings.
