1. In a small bowl, stir together garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and celery salt. Trim fat from meat. Sprinkle pepper mixture evenly over meat; rub in with your fingers. If necessary, cut meat to fit into a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker.
2. Place onion in the bottom of a 3-1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Add meat. Pour the water over meat.
3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. Remove meat and onions from cooker to a cutting board; discard cooking liquid. Using two forks, pull meat apart into shreds. Tote meat in slow cooker. Tote broccoli and mayonnaise dressing in an insulated container with ice packs.
4. To serve, in a small bowl, combine shredded broccoli and 1/4 cup of the mayonnaise dressing. Spread bottoms of the buns with the remaining mayonnaise dressing. Place meat mixture on bottoms of buns. Top with shredded broccoli mixture; replace tops of buns. Makes 16 sandwiches.

This was an easy meal to make! Great taste!
7/1/2010 09:02:44 PM Report AbuseI was taught to braise meat before I put in the crockpot; do you recommend that, or is it best not too do that with this recipe?
2/22/2010 10:47:39 AM Report AbuseI'm fairly new to this crockpot deal, but the pork turned out delicious. I put mine over egg noodles with some of the drippings from the crockpot, and my husband put bbq sauce on his. Mine is a large crockpot (6 qt) and the roast was about 7 lbs, and it only took about 4 hrs. on high. Meat doesn't shrink very much and I've been eating it for several meals. Enjoy!
12/29/2009 09:17:01 PM Report AbuseMy husband found this recipe and fixed it for us and it was an immediate hit. It is so moist and juicy and so easy to fix in the crock pot...A great treat especially during this busy time of the year....
11/30/2009 08:04:44 PM Report AbuseI just made the pork in the crock pot. Made my own slaw. This pork is unbelievable. It is great with the onions, second time I made it, I added more onions.
